Sheridan Mavericks Lacrosse: Last year the injury bug bit pretty hard on the Sheridan Mavericks lacrosse team and this year, the boys are biting back.

The Mavs are off to a 4-0 start, and recently flexed their offensive muscles, with wins at home vs. both the Jackson JV and Helena JV teams.

Junior Parker Mudd of Sheridan High School says one of the keys to the teams’ success is staying together and staying off the injured list.

Sophomore Cole Connors of Big Horn High School says the boys started working on the teamwork concept long before practice for this season started.

The Mavericks are scheduled to play 2 games this weekend in Helena.


University of Wyoming Spring Football Practice: This is the last week for spring practice for the University of Wyoming football team.

Aside from practice, players usually have off-season workouts and conditioning and Head Coach Jay Sawvel says in that sense, players have already hit the markers that were set last July and are ahead of schedule.

The Brown and Gold Spring Game is scheduled for this coming Saturday at 1pm inside War Memorial Stadium in Laramie.


Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies lost last night at home against the LA Dodgers 12-3, thus settling for a 4-game series split.

TJ Rumfield hit a 2-run home run, but it was not nearly enough.

The Rocks start a 3-game series today at home vs. San Diego.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:40pm.


Denver Nuggets Basketball/NBA Playoffs: The Denver Nuggets lost last night in game 2 of their first round best of 7 series at home vs. Minnesota 119-114.

The series is tied at 1 game each.

Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday at Minnesota.

Other playoff scores from yesterday saw Cleveland win at home vs. Toronto 115-105, to take 2-nothing lead in their series.

Atlanta squeaked out a win last night at New York 107-106 to tie up that series at 1.


Colorado Avalanche Hockey/NHL Playoffs: The Colorado Avalanche host Game 2 of their first round best of 7 series today vs. Los Angeles.

The puck drops at 8pm.

In yesterday’s action, Dallas won Game 2 at home vs. Minnesota 4-2, to tie the series at 1.

Edmonton won Game 1 at home vs. Anaheim 4-3.

Philadelphia won Game 2 at Pittsburgh 3-zip, to take a 2-nothing lead in their series.

Carolina needed 2 overtimes to win at home vs. Ottawa 3-2, and go up 2-nothing.
