Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball: The Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball Team is back in action today as the team hosts a double-header against Douglas.

First pitch is scheduled for 3pm.

Nathan Bloom of Sheridan HS Wins Shot Put At State Meet: One Sheridan High School Junior threw his way to the top of the podium at last month’s state meet.

Nathan Bloom won the 4A Boys Shot Put with a throw of 54 feet 3-and-3-quarter inches.

It ended up being his final throw in the preliminary round and ended up being the best throw in all classes.

As far as the competition goes, he says he was not nervous, and it was his team-mates that provided the motivation.

Bloom also participated in the discus, but committed a foul on all 3 of his throws.


Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies scored 6 runs in the last 2 innings, to win the first game of a 3-game series last night at the LA Angels 9-8.

Jake McCarthy hit a solo home run and Hunter Goodman provided a 3-run blast for the cause.

The Rocks and Angels are scheduled to play each other again today, starting at 7:38pm.
