Keegan Rager of Sheridan HS To Wrestle At Northwest College: A recent graduate of Sheridan HS will continue to wrestle on the other side of the Bighorn Mountains.
Keegan Rager has signed his notice of intent to join the wrestling team at Northwest College in Powell.
He is a 2-time state champ, winning as a senior and a junior and before that, a 2-time state runner-up.
The Trappers’ wrestling team finished 8th at the JUCO Wrestling National Championship Tournament earlier this year, and Rager says that recent success peaked his desire to join the team.
Rager adds he plans to major in pre-engineering for the first 2 years of college and civil engineering after that.
All-State/All-Conference Awards For Soccer and Softball: Post season accolades have been announced for the recently completed Wyoming High School Sports Spring season which recently ended.
In Soccer, a total of 24 players from both Sheridan and Buffalo received all-conference honors.
Sixteen of those 24 were named all-state.
Breck Reed of Sheridan closes out his high school career as a 4-time all-state honoree.
Christian Burgess of the Sheridan boys and Aubrey Irish for the Buffalo girls are 3-timers.

In Softball, 4 Lady Broncs were named all-conference, with 2 of those 4 being named all-state.
Those 2 are Anna Mock who came over from Buffalo, as well as Sydney Murner.

For track and field, there is no voting for all-state.
To get the honor, an athlete must finish in the top 2 of the event they’re competing in at the state meet, except for relay events which is winning team only.
Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball: There has been a change in this weekend’s schedule for the Sheridan Troopers.
Since rain is in the forecast for this weekend, Sunday’s home double-header vs. Powell has been moved up and will play tomorrow starting at 5 and 7pm.
As for the Jets, their home games vs. the Pioneers are still on for Saturday as scheduled.
Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies were swept on the road by the LA Dodgers, losing last night 4-1.
Ever since the team swept the Mets in New York 1 month ago, the team has been 7-21 since.
The Rocks are off today and start a 3-game series tomorrow at home vs. San Francisco.
NHL Playoffs: Carolina won Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals last night at Montreal 4-1, thanks to scoring 3 goals in less than 3 minutes late in the first period.
The Hurricanes lead the series 3-games to 1 and host Game 5 tomorrow, starting at 6pm.
