Keegan Rager Of Sheridan HS To Wrestle At Northwest College

A recent graduate of Sheridan HS will continue to wrestle on the other side of the Bighorn Mountains.

Keegan Rager has signed his notice of intent to join the wrestling team at Northwest College in Powell.

He is a 2-time state champ, winning as a senior and a junior and before that, a 2-time state runner-up.

The Trappers’ wrestling team finished 8th at the JUCO Wrestling National Championship Tournament earlier this year, and Rager says that recent success peaked his desire to join the team.

“They’ve just had a lot of success with the guys they’ve had. They’ve had some pretty solid guys go there and do some great things. They actually had the JUCO Male Athlete of the Year this year and he’s going to one of the top Division one programs, which is what I want to do and I want to kind of follow in his footsteps and I really like the coaches and so it just made the most sense for me to go to Powell.”

Rager adds he plans to major in pre-engineering for the first 2 years of college and civil engineering after that.
