Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball: The Sheridan Troopers are back on the diamond.

The team hosts a double-header vs. Lander today in their first conference games of the season.

First pitch is at 5pm.

Milward Simpson Award Finalists 2026: Four Sheridan County High School athletes from the recently graduated class of 2026, have been named as some of the most outstanding and accomplished Wyoming High School athletes, during their high school tenure.

Beck Haswell, Keegan Rager and Breck Reed of Sheridan HS, as well as Chaney Reish of Tongue River HS, have been named as finalists for the 2026 Milward Simpson Award.

The award is named after Simpson who served as team captain for the football, basketball and baseball teams at the University of Wyoming from 1917 to 1921.

Haswell, Rager and Reed are the 21st, 22nd and 23rd male athletes from Sheridan HS to be named as a finalist for the award, while Reish is the 3rd female from TR, the last finalist was in 1997.

Five former Broncs have won the annual award, with Dane Steel last winning in 2024.

No one from Tongue River, male or female, has won the award.

The 51st annual Milward Simpson winners will be announced on Saturday, June 20th at Cody.


Wyoming High School Rodeo: The dust has settled and cowboys and cowgirls now know who gets to compete in next month’s High School National Finals Rodeo.

The Wyoming High School season concluded this past weekend at the State Finals Rodeo in Buffalo.

Those who finished in the top 4 in the end of the season standings in their respective event, get to compete at the High School NFR. 

Representing North-Central Wyoming will be Karly Davs of Buffalo in the Barrel Racing, along with Bleu Butler of Big Horn in the Breakaway Roping and Goat Tying.

Bull Rider Riggin Pearce of Sheridan made it, as well as Teague Duncan of Clearmont and Kade Fraley of Sheridan in Saddle Bronc Riding.

The High School NFR is scheduled for the week of July 19th through the 25th in Lincoln, Nebraska.


Sheridan College Rodeo/CNFR 2026: The College National Finals Rodeo begins this Sunday, and now we know which cowboys and cowgirls from Sheridan College will compete on which day, during the week long competition.

All competitors are guaranteed 3 runs in their respective event.

The first 2 will take place either on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday.

Round 3 will place during the course of Tuesday through Friday evenings.

The top 12 total on 3, comeback on Saturday, June 20th for the championship short-go.

There are a total of 6 cowboys and 1 cowgirl from Sheridan College that will represent.

Six of those 7 will have their first run this coming Sunday.

The only one that won’t is Tyon Arneson in the team roping and he will go on Monday.

No one from Sheridan College will compete on Friday, meaning they will have completed their 3 runs before then, and will have to wait it out, to see if they are in the championship short-go.


NBA Finals: San Antonio picked up a much needed win on the road last night against New York, 115-111.

The Spurs still trail the series 2 game to 1 and so far all 3 games played have been won by the visiting team.

Game 4 is scheduled for tomorrow at New York, starting at 6:30pm.
