Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball: The Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball team had one word for their opponent yesterday in Billings.
That word was…NO!
Will Greer pitched a 5-inning no-hitter as the team shutout Spokane, Washington 8-zip.
Sheridan is scheduled to play Multisport 360 out of Montesano, Washington today at 3:30pm.
Montesano is about 40 miles west of Olympia.
The Troopers are also scheduled to play Beasts Sports National, based out of Hamilton, Montana, which is located south of Missoula.
That game is tomorrow starting at 8am.
Sheridan is also scheduled to play on Sunday.
Opponent and start time is to be announced.
Sheridan HS Softball: The Sheridan Lady Broncs had a better season this year record-wise, but came up short in their quest to return to the state tournament.
This year the team put together a record of 20-9-1, which is slightly better than last year’s 19-11-2 mark.
Head Coach Kristen Czaban says the big difference this year was that the players were more confident going into the season.
Cheyenne East won the state tournament, making it the first time in the 6 years that softball has been a varsity sport in Wyoming, that a team from Gillette did not win the crown.
Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies start a 3-game road series today against Minnesota.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:10pm.
Tomorrow’s game starts at 5:10pm and Sunday’s game at 12:10pm.
After that, the Rocks will start a 7-game homestand with 4 games vs. Miami, followed by 3 games vs. San Francisco.
