Sheridan Wrestling Club Camp To Feature Former Sheridan HS Wrestler And JUCO National Champion Coach

Youth Wrestlers will get a chance to learn from not only a former Sheridan Bronc, but a Junior College National Championship Coach.

The 2026 Sheridan Wrestling Club Camp is scheduled to take place June 16th, 17th and 18th from 9am until 12-noon and from 1 until 4pm at the High School.

Among the instructors include former Bronc wrestler Kelten Crow, now competing at Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs, as well as Art Castillo who coached the Mustangs to back-to-back Junior College National Championships in 2023 and 2024, and a National Runner-Up finish this year.

Sheridan High School Wrestling Coach Ty Shatto says one of the benefits of the camp is that young wrestlers get a chance to open their minds to new strategies and new techniques.

“It’s good for them to hear it from their own coaches, but summertime is about going and finding new styles and new ideas. We’re able to bring people in to allow that to happen, because there’s so much about wrestling. It’s not just one dimensional, it’s so many dimensionals, and every athlete is different, so we’re hoping that by exposing them to different people and different styles, that they can adapt and that can only make our wrestling around Sheridan even better.”
