Sheridan WYO Rodeo 2026: Two performances down and 2 remain at this year’s Sheridan WYO Rodeo.

During yesterday’s performance round, Daxtyn Feild from Utah had the top score of the day in barebacks with 87 ½ points.

Payden McIntyre from Douglas threw his steer down the fastest, with a time of 5.6 seconds.

The fastest Breakaway Roper was Libby Winchell out of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, as she lassoed her calf in 2.6 seconds.

The top saddle bronc ride of the night was courtesy of Roper Kiesner of Oklahoma, as he scored 86 points.

Not a good night for the team ropers last night as only 2 teams got the job done.

Bodie Herring out of Veteran, Wyoming and Rio Nutter from Rapid City, South Dakota were a little bit faster at 5.6 seconds.

In Tie Down Roping, Britt Bedke of Idaho was the only one faster than 10 seconds, as he got one tied in 9.8.

For the Barrel Racers, Katelyn Scott of Texas turned 3 in a time of 17.21 seconds.

Finally in the Bull Riding, Izaak Boekelman from North Dakota made it to 8 seconds and got 81 ½ points for his efforts.

Rodeo slack is scheduled for both today and tomorrow at 8am, and the last 2 performances are also today and tomorrow at 7pm.


Sheridan Troopers/Jets Baseball: We’re about 2 weeks away from the state tournament and it’s a lock that 1 Sheridan team will make it, and the other is not locked, but in a good spot.

The Sheridan Troopers have conference business tomorrow at Riverton, and play a couple of non-conference games on Sunday at Lander.

The Sheridan Jets play conference games on Sunday in Casper, against the Wildcatters.


Football: It’s not too early to start thinking about football.

Practice for the Sheridan Broncs as well as all Wyoming 4A High School teams, starts 1 month from today.

SHS starts the season on August 28th at Rock Springs and the home opener is scheduled for September 4th vs. Cheyenne South.

The Wyoming Cowboys have not yet announced a start day for practice, but most NCAA teams are usually allowed to start about 1 month before their first scheduled game, meaning the Brown and Gold are less than 1 month away from the start of practice.

The season opener is on September 5th at Colorado State and the home opener is on September 12th vs. Northern Colorado.

Mountain West Conference Media Days are scheduled to take place Wednesday and Thursday of next week in Las Vegas.

Training camp for the Denver Broncos is scheduled to begin 3 weeks from today.

The first pre-season game is scheduled for August 14th at Atlanta.

The regular season begins on September 14th with a Monday night contest at Kansas City and the home opener is set for September 20th vs. Jacksonville.


Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies lost the first game of a 4-game series last night at San Francisco 8-2.

Willi Castro provided the 2 with a home run, but the team needed much more than that.

The Rocks and Giants are scheduled to play each other again today, starting at 8:15pm.

Tomorrow and Sunday’s games get underway at 2:05pm.

These are the last games before the All-Star break.
