Polo Season 2026 Underway In Sheridan County
The season for another sport that involves horses has started.
The 2026 polo season is underway at the Flying H Polo Club, which is near the Bighorn Equestrian Center.
Will Johnston is the manager of the club and he says the sport has a lot of diversity and has a little more contact to it, than what most people think.
“I think people don’t realize they hear polo, they don’t really understand that it’s action, it’s an exciting sport, it’s full contact, it’s hockey on horseback and I think when they actually come and see it they don’t realize, I think they think it’s just people kind of running around hitting a ball and it’s way more exciting than I think people realize and way more contact sport, than people realize.”
Polo games at the Flying H Polo Club are at 10am, 12-noon and 2pm on Thursdays and Saturdays, while other games at the Bighorn Equestrian Center are on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
