Sheridan WYO Rodeo: Winners have been announced and paychecks have been issued from this year’s Sheridan WYO Rodeo.
Daxton Feild of Utah won the bareback riding by ½ point.
Jesse Brown of Oregon won the 2-round average in steer wrestling.
The Steer Roping event was 3 rounds and it was won by Anthony Reiha of Texas.
The Breakaway Roping winner of the Sheridan WYO Rodeo was Texan Amy Ohrt, by 1-tenth of a second.
Calvin Wells of Powell won the Saddle Bronc event on the final night with a 91 point ride.
The team roping winners were Brye Crites and Ross Ashford.
The best tie down roper in Sheridan was Jontavian Douch of Texas.
The top bull rider was Stetson Wright from Utah.

Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball: The Sheridan Troopers went 4-0 in games played this past weekend on the road in Fremont County.
On Saturday, the team swept Riverton by scores of 12-2 and 12-3.
In the first game, pitcher Will Greer had 12 strikeouts.
Yesterday, Sheridan swept Lander by scores of 12-zip and 19-1.
In the second game, Owen Matthews, Griffen Switzenberg, and Torrey Phillips each hit home runs.
The Troopers are back at home this coming Thursday for a conference double-header against Gillette, who are the defending state champs.
First place in the north division will be on the line, beginning at 5pm.
Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies ended up losing 3 out of 4 games this past weekend at San Francisco.
The Giants won on Thursday 8-2, but the Rocks won on Friday 4-3.
San Fran won Saturday’s game 4-2, as well as yesterday’s game 3-1.
In that last game, Jake McCarthy provided the 1, with a solo home run.
Colorado heads into the All-Star break with a record of 39-59.
Of the remaining 66 games on their schedule, the team needs to win 5 of them to top last year’s win total of 43, and needs to win 24 of them to avoid another 100-loss season.
The Rockies will resume play on Friday with a 6-game homestand that includes 3 games vs. Cincinnati, followed by 3 games vs. Washington.
The 2026 Major League Baseball All-Star Game will be played in Philadelphia.
The home run derby is today starting at 6pm.
The All-State Game itself is tomorrow.
First pitch is scheduled for 6pm.
