Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball:The Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball team got back to their winning ways at home this past Friday.

The team swept a double-header from Powell, by scores of 8-zip and 10-2.

Sheridan is now 14-10 on the season and are scheduled to play again tomorrow in a home double-header vs. Douglas.

First pitch is scheduled for 3pm.


Big Horn HS Girls Track and Field: The Big Horn girls recently won their first 2A State Title in 10 years.

The Lady Rams accumulated 150 points in the standings…30 came from sophomore Lyla Marney who won the 800, 1600, and 3200 meter runs, another 34 came from freshman Harper Baltz who won the triple jump, and placed in the top 8 in the long jump, plus the 100 and 200 meter dash races.

Then there were the relay teams who contributed 33 points, thanks to 2 1st place finishes, 1 second and one 4th.

Head Coach Kirk McLaughlin says a lot of credit goes to the underclassmen on the team, but the upperclassmen did their part as well.

This year’s state championship for the BH girls is the 7th in school history.

Last year the team placed 5th.


Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies won 2 out of 3 games this past weekend at home vs. San Francisco.

The team won in dramatic fashion on Friday 8-6.

Ezequiel Tovar had himself a game as he would steal home to get the scoring started, plus he hit 2 2-run home runs, including a walk-off to win the game.

Hunter Goodman also had a 3-run blast of his own in the 9th inning.

The Rocks also won on Saturday 8-3.

Jake McCarthy hit a 2-run shot in that game, and Kyle Karros added a solo home run of his own.

Colorado would get walloped yesterday 19-6.

The Rockies are scheduled to start a 3-game series today at the LA Angels.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:38pm.


NHL Playoffs: The Stanley Cup Finals are set.

Carolina won Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals back on Friday at home vs. Montreal 6-1, to win the series 4-1.

The Hurricanes will host the first 2 games of the Stanley Cup Finals against Las Vegas.

Game 1 is scheduled for tomorrow, starting at 6pm.


NBA Playoffs: The NBA Finals are set as well.

San Antonio won game 7 back on Saturday at Oklahoma City 111-103, to win the series 4 games to 3.

The Spurs will host the first 2 games of the NBA Finals against New York.

Game 1 is scheduled for Wednesday, starting at 6:30pm.
