Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball: The Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball Team went 2-0 yesterday in their first 2 games in Rapid City.
In the first game, the team won 10-7 against Elk Horn, Nebraska who were last year’s Nebraska State Runners-Up.
Sheridan defeated the Billings Bandits in Game 2, 4-1.
The Troopers play the 406 Flyers from Billings today at 11:30am, and tomorrow they will take on Huron, South Dakota at 4pm.
There is one more game on Sunday and the opponent and start time for that game is based on results from today and tomorrow.
Sheridan’s next home game is scheduled for Tuesday.
Shrine Bowl Football Game 2026: It’s about time for the recent graduates to put on the pads one last time and play for both bragging rights and a worthy cause.
Check in for the 53rd annual Shrine Bowl football game in Casper is this Sunday, as the North and the South prepare to renew their rivalry.
A total of 6 players from Sheridan and Johnson County High Schools will play for the North.
Representing Sheridan is Sam Huffman, Keegan Rager, Breck Reed and Gauge Rodgers.
James Ihnat and Lane Rabel from Buffalo are also on the team.
The game kicks off at 2pm, one week from tomorrow at Natrona County High School.
Big Horn HS Girls Track and Field: A good amount of the points scored by the Big Horn Girls Track and Field team came from the underclassmen, and one freshman made her contributions.
Harper Baltz won the 2A Triple Jump, and placed 2nd in the long jump as well as both the 100 and 200 meter dash races.
She says the Lady Rams spent most of the season in meets against bigger schools and credits that to helping her get prepared for the state meet.
The BH Girls would win this year’s 2A State Championship for the first time in 10 years.
Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies are scheduled to start a 6-game homestand today with the first of 3 against Milwaukee.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:40pm.
Tomorrow’s game starts at 7:10pm and Sunday’s game at 1:10pm.
After that, the Rocks begin a 3-game home series with the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday.
NHL Stanley Cup Finals: Carolina needed 4 extra minutes to win Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals over Las Vegas 4-3.
The Hurricanes trailed 2-zip midway into the 3rd period, then scored 3 times in a little more than 5 minutes to take the lead.
The Golden Knights would tie up the game and force overtime with 1:21 to go in regulation.
The series is tied at 1-game each.
Game 3 is scheduled for tomorrow at Las Vegas.
The puck drops at 6pm.
