Sheridan WYO Rodeo 2026: The first rodeo performance of the Sheridan WYO Rodeo was last night.

Kashton Ford out of Sturgis, South Dakota dazzled the crowd with an 87 point ride in barebacks.

Kyler Dick out of Oakley, Utah was the fastest in the steer wrestling at 4 ½ seconds.

Devin Robinson from Moorcroft was the fastest breakaway roper with a time of 2.4 seconds.

Warwick Southern from Australia was the best saddle bronc rider with a score of 85 ½ points.

Sam Lewis of Texas was the only one who roped and tied up his calf in less than 10 seconds, as he turned in a 9.5.

In team roping, Clayton Van Aken and Jaydon Warner just beat 6 seconds.

More slack round action is scheduled for today at 8am and another rodeo performance and World Championship Indian Relay Races are scheduled to begin at 7pm.

Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball: The Sheridan Troopers swept a home double-header yesterday vs. the Billings Expos.

Scores were 11-1 and 16-zip.

Owen Matthews hit a solo home run in the first game, while Tanner Hamrick and Will Greer went back-to-back of each other in the second game.

The Troopers are on the road this weekend.

First up is a conference double-header on Saturday at Riverton, and then a non-conference DH at Lander on Sunday.

Polo: The season for another sport that involves horses is about to get started.

Polo starts today at the Flying H Polo Club, which is near the Bighorn Equestrian Center.

Will Johnston is the manager of the club and he says the sport has a lot of diversity and has a little more contact to it, than what most people think.

Polo games at the Flying H Polo Club are at 10am, 12-noon and 2pm on Thursday and Saturdays, while other games at the Bighorn Equestrian Center are on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies lost the rubber game of their 3-game series yesterday at the LA Dodgers 4-3.

Kyle Karros and Edouard Julien each hit solo shots, but the opposition scored 1 run in the 8th inning to win it.

The Rocks now start a 4-game series today at San Francisco.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:45pm.
