Sheridan County HS Track and Field: It will be a small meet, but Tongue River High School will be hosting a lot of Sheridan County High School Track and Field athletes today.

Sheridan and Big Horn will also be in attendance, along with Greybull and Ten Sleep.

Field events are scheduled to begin at 11am and the running events at 12 noon.

Sheridan will compete again tomorrow at Billings.

Arvada-Clearmont is also competing today at Upton.


Sheridan HS Soccer: Sheridan split their games yesterday against Campbell County.

Dane Steel scored with about 1 ½ minutes to go, to give the Broncs a 1-nil road win.

Things did not go well for the Lady Broncs in their home game.

The opposition scored 10 minutes into the game, and then added 2 more in the final 3 minutes before halftime.

The final score was 3-0.

Both Sheridan teams are back in action tomorrow in their only home double-header of the season as they take on Thunder Basin.

The girls game is scheduled to begin at 10am and the boys game at 12-noon.


Sheridan County HS Spring Golf And Spring Tennis: The Sheridan Golf Team is competing today at Cheyenne.

Tongue River is hosting a 2-day event starting today at the Powder Horn Golf Club and tomorrow at Kendrick.

Spring tennis is also underway as Sheridan will host their invitational tomorrow.


Sheridan Troopers American Legion Baseball: The Sheridan Troopers have this weekend off from competition.

The team will be back in action next weekend with a 3-game series at Rapid City Post 22.

The next home games are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, April 27th and 28th.


University Of Wyoming Spring Football: Spring Practice for the University of Wyoming Football Cowboy Football Team is now past the halfway point.

The team will have another practice open to the public tomorrow in Laramie, beginning at 10:15am at War Memorial Stadium.

Head Coach Jay Sawvel says so far he’s seen a lot of improvement in many areas of the team.

After tomorrow, UW will have 2 more weeks of practice, which will take place on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The spring game is 2 weeks from tomorrow at Cheyenne.


Sheridan College Rodeo: Sheridan College Bull rider Wyatt Phelps won the bull riding at this past weekend’s event at Colorado State.

With 2 rodeos to go in the regular season, he’s sitting in 2nd place in the Central Rocky Mountain Region Standings, and he’s got to be in 3rd place or better when the season is over, to qualify for the College National Finals Rodeo, which is in June in Casper.

This weekend the Rodeo circuit is at Casper College.
