Sheridan HS Football: Two days down and one more to go, before the Sheridan High School Football team can put the pads on at practice.

Last season the Broncs put together another undefeated season, but despite having 25 seniors, the team did not win in a dominating fashion as they have in prior seasons.

As a result, those who played for the JV, did not get as much varsity playing time compared to when their predecessors were in their spot.

Head Coach Jeff Mowry says the start of the season is different every year, and these are the cards that have been dealt this time around.

Sheridan has won 55-games in a row coming into this season, which is the 2nd longest active winning streak in the country.

Sheridan/Johnson County HS Golf: The season starts today in Sheridan County.

Kendrick Golf Course is the site for the 2-day Sheridan Invitational.

Competition is scheduled to begin today at 11am and tomorrow at 9am, although the weather forecast could change things.

Sheridan, Big Horn and Buffalo are all scheduled to compete.

Senior Addison Bettinger of Buffalo was last year’s 3A Girls State Champ.

As for Tongue River, they are scheduled to start their season today, at a 2-day meet at Powell.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies won last night at Arizona 3-2.

Kyle Karros hit a 2-run home run to help the cause.

The Rocks and D’backs are scheduled to play the rubber game of their 3-game series today, starting at 1:40pm.
