Sheridan Troopers/Jets Legion Baseball: The Wyoming Legion Baseball State Tournament is down to the final 4 teams, and both Sheridan teams are still in it.
The Sheridan Jets dropped their first game on Friday against Cheyenne Post 6 7-3.
On Saturday, the team rebounded and eliminated the host team and defending champ Gillette Roughriders 4-3.
The Jets survived another elimination game yesterday against Casper 5-4.
Blake Ligocki pitched 6 ⅓ innings throwing 106 pitches and struck out 5.
He says at this point in the tournament, the Jets are playing like a team that has nothing to lose.
As for the Troopers, they won their first game on Friday against the Cheyenne Hawks 2-zip, and won on Saturday vs. Casper 14-8, but the bats were a literal no-show last night, losing to Cheyenne Post 6 7-zip and ended up on the wrong end of a no-hitter.
That creates an unusual situation, as it will be the Troopers vs. the Jets in an elimination game today at 4pm.
Trooper Head Coach Austin Cowen says regardless of the outcome, a lot of good is going to come out of this matchup.
The Troopers/Jets winner will live to play tomorrow, but have to play and win twice to win the championship.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies dropped 2 out of 3 games this past weekend at Milwaukee.
The Rocks won on Friday 5-2, and lost on Saturday 8-5 and lost yesterday 11-2.
In that last game, Cole Carrigg and Willi Castro each hit solo home runs, but not before 12 of the first 14 Colorado batters in the game struck out.
The Rockies are off today, and start a 2-game series tomorrow at San Diego.
