Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey Team won both ends of their home and home series this past weekend vs. Gillette.

Friday’s score on the road was 4-1 and Saturday’s score at home was 3-1.

Sheridan will play another home and home series this weekend vs. Rapid City.

Friday’s game is on the road and Saturday’s game is at home.

These will be the last games before the NA3HL’s Showcase Event, which is later this month.


University of Wyoming Football: The Wyoming Cowboys concluded the season with a 27-7 loss at Hawaii.

The Pokes got on the scoreboard first, thanks to the defense as Jones Thomas returned an interception 50 yards for a score.

Quarterback Mason Drube from Gillette was 17 of 32 passing for 179 yards, threw 1 interception and was sacked 3 times.

Wyoming finishes the season with a record of 4-8 which is a 1 game improvement from last year.

The Brown and Gold ended with a Mountain West Conference record of 2-6.


Mountain West Conference Football: There was a 4-way tie for first between Boise State, UNLV, San Diego State and New Mexico.

It came down to the computer rankings and it will be UNLV vs. Boise State for the third year in a row.

This coming Friday’s conference championship game will be played at Boise beginning at 6pm.

The Broncos won at home against the Rebels, 56-31 in middle October and are attempting to 3-peat as conference champs, before departing for the PAC-12 conference.


University of Wyoming Men’s and Women’s Basketball: The Wyoming Cowboys went 1-1 in games played over the Thanksgiving Holiday.

On Wednesday the team won at home vs. Denver University 101-59.

The Brown and Gold shot 56% for the game and got 52 points from the bench.

Five Cowboys scored in double figures.

Laland Walker led the way with 16 points.

Khaden Bennett and Nasir Meyer each put in 14, while Matija Belic and Uriyah Rojas contributed with 13 each.

Yesterday the Cowboys came up a little short at #20 Texas Tech 76-72.

Walker was the leading scorer again with 28 points, but no other player scored in double digits.

Wyoming is now 6-2 on the season and are next scheduled to play this coming Saturday at home vs. Dartmouth College.

The Wyoming Cowgirls won their second game in a row back on Friday, with a 66-59 win at home vs. South Dakota.

The ladies shot almost 47% for the game and went 16 of 17 from the charity stripe.

Malene Pedersen was the leading scorer with 25 points.

Logan Alvar put in 16 for the cause.

The Cowgirls are now 3-4 on the season and are next scheduled to play this coming Sunday at Colorado.


Denver Broncos Football: The Denver Broncos have been playing things close to the hilt this season and last night was another example.

Denver led 20-14 after 3 quarters last night at Washington, but did not score in the 4th.

Meanwhile the Commanders kicked 2 field goals to tie the score at 20 and force overtime.

The Broncos scored first, the opposition countered, but decided to go for 2 and did not succeed, thus the Broncos won 27-26.

Quarterback Bo Nix was 29 of 45 passing for 321 yards and 1 touchdown toss to Courtland Sutton.

RJ Harvey ran for 2 scores on the ground.

Denver is now 10-2 on the season and has won 9 in a row.

The Broncos are next scheduled to play this coming Sunday at Las Vegas.


Denver Nuggets Basketball: The Denver Nuggets split weekend games, losing on Friday at home vs. San Antonio 139-136 and won on Saturday at Phoenix 130-112.

The Nuggets are next scheduled to play today at home vs. Dallas.

Tip off is scheduled for 7pm.


Colorado Avalanche Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche went 2-1 over the Thanksgiving Holiday, winning on Wednesday at home vs. San Jose 6-zip, then lost on Friday at Minnesota 3-2 in a shootout, then won on Saturday at home vs. Montreal 7-2.

The Avs are next scheduled to play tomorrow at home vs. Vancouver.
