Michael Odom Of Sheridan HS To Compete In Track and Field At Minnesota State Morehead: One Sheridan Bronc track and field athlete has thrown his way to the college level.

Michael Odom has signed his notice of intent to join the team at Minnesota State Morehead for shot put and discus.

He explains what got him first involved in the sport, and what gives him that drive to continue.

Odom says he plans to major in business.

The Dragons compete at the NCAA Division 2 level.


Sheridan HS Soccer: The 4A East Regional Tournament begins today at Cheyenne South.

The Sheridan girls take on Cheyenne East at 11am.

The winner qualifies for the state tournament and will play again tomorrow and Saturday for seeding purposes.

The loser is done for the season.

The Sheridan boys have a first round bye, and have already qualified for the state tournament.

The Broncs play tomorrow at 1pm, against the winner of today’s game between Campbell County vs. Laramie.

Sheridan HS Softball: The North Regional Tournament begins tomorrow in Gillette.

Sheridan is the #3 seed out of the Northeast and will play the #2 seed out of the Northwest, which is Natrona County, tomorrow at 11am.

After that the Lady Broncs will play again tomorrow, against either Thunder Basin or Jackson.

Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball: The Sheridan Troopers will play their rescheduled non-conference game on the road against the Gillette Roughriders today.

First pitch is scheduled for 5:30pm.

The Troopers are scheduled to open up conference play with a home double-header on Sunday against Cody, beginning at 1pm.


Steel Brothers To Host Montana State Youth Football Camp In Sheridan: Two brothers who both graduated from Sheridan High School and are a part of the National Champion Montana State Football team, will return home to teach some youngsters the way of the game.

Brock and Dane Steel, along with a few other Bobcat players, are hosting a 1-day football camp at Homer Scott Field, one month from today (June 14th).

The camp is $100 per player, is for ages 6 to 14 and will include drills and skills training, scrimmages and competitions and some 1 on 1 time with Bobcat players.

Dane Steel, who arguably had the highlight of the FCS National Championship game, when he hurdled a defender on his way for a touchdown, says participants are going to learn more than individual skills.

Denver Broncos Football/NFL Schedule Release: Today is the day that NFL fans have been waiting for, as the schedule for all 32 teams will be released sometime today.

Teams have known since January as far as which opponents they will face and where the game will be played, but what almost know one knows is when and in what order.

There have been a few leaks, and one of them involves the Denver Broncos, who will play in the first Monday night game of the season on September 14th at Kansas City.

Other opponents in the upcoming season include a home game against the Chiefs, as well as home and away games against Las Vegas and the LA Chargers.

Other home games for Denver include…the Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks, former University of Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills, the LA Rams, Miami, and Jacksonville.

Road trips outside of the AFC West are at New England, the New York Jets, Arizona, San Francisco, Pittsburgh and Carolina.

The first game of the NFL season is a Super Bowl rematch on Wednesday, September 9th as New England visits Seattle.


Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies won last night at Pittsburgh 10-4.

Mickey Moniak had himself a game with 5 RBI’s, including a 3-run home run.

TJ Rumfield had a solo shot of his own for insurance.

The Rocks will try to win the rubber game of the 3-game series today, starting at 10:35am.


Colorado Avalanche Hockey/NHL Playoffs: The Colorado Avalanche pulled off a late comeback in Game 5 last night, to win at home vs. Minnesota 4-3 in overtime and win their second round best of 7 series, 4 games to 1.

The Avs trailed for most of the game, in fact the Wild needed only 34 seconds to get on the scoreboard first.

Colorado was down 3-nothing after 1 period, and was trailing 3-1 with less than 4 minutes to go, then scored twice in a little more than 2 minutes to tie the score, and needed almost 4 minutes of the extra period to win it.

The Avalanche advance to the Western Conference Finals and are waiting for the winner of the series between Las Vegas and Anaheim.

The Golden Knights lead that series 3 games to 2.

Game 6 is today at Anaheim, starting at 7:30pm.

If the Ducks win, then Game 7 is on Saturday at Las Vegas.


NBA Playoffs: Cleveland was down by 9 with 3 minutes to go last night at Detroit, then rallied to force overtime and went on to win 117-113 to go up 3-2 in their series.
