Big Horn HS Football Starts Practice: At 12:01am today, the Big Horn High School Football team walked onto the field and held their first practice of the season under the lights.

It’s been a tradition for some time, but it could not happen the past 2 years, because the first day of practice and the first day of school just happened to be on the same day.

Senior Cruz Hernandez says it’s good to get back to the old ways, and there’s a lot to get done this week.

Senior Chase Garber says the first practice is pretty easy, and the boys tried to have a little bit of fun.

The main part was getting out there and starting to put the team together.

There has been a change to the early part of BH’s schedule.

The September 4th game that was supposed to be played at Lovell, instead will be against Pine Bluffs and will be played in Wheatland.

It will be an exhibition contest, because PB plays 9-man football.

Wyoming HS Fall Sports: All fall sports are now practicing for the season.

Those that can start today include all non-4A football teams, as well as all classes of volleyball, cross country and girls swimming.

Competition in those sports can start as early as Thursday, August 27th.

Tongue River/Big Horn HS Golf: Tongue River and Big Horn competed at a 1-day meet this past Friday at Upton.

Will Lutz kicked 2 field goals and the defense got in on the scoring, as Jahdae Barron returned an interception 97 yards.

The defense picked off 1 other pass and the offense had a 12 ½ plus minute advantage on time of possession.

The next pre-season game for the Broncos is scheduled for this coming Friday at home vs. Green Bay.
