Nate Miner of Sheridan HS To Play Basketball at Rocky Mountain College: A Sheridan Bronc basketball senior who helped lead the team to a state championship is taking his game to the next level.

Nate Miner has signed his notice of intent to play for Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana.

This past season he averaged 17 points per game, while shooting 48% from the field, as well as 40% from behind the arc.

Miner also led the Broncs with 424 points scored and grabbed 106 rebounds.

He explains what he thinks it was that got the attention of the Battlin’ Bears Coaching Staff.

Miner adds he plans to major in business.

Sheridan HS Boys and Girls Soccer: The 4A East Regional Tournament starts tomorrow in Cheyenne.

Unlike in the 4A regular season, if the score is tied at the end of regulation, teams will then play 2-10 minute overtime periods, alternating directions.

If the score is still tied after that, then the contest will be decided in a shootout.

While the players may be excited for it, it can be a different story for goalies.

Some soccer players, fans and fanatics live by the principle that the goalie only needs to stop one shot, but Garrett Clifton of Sheridan says that’s not always true.

Lady Bronc Goalie Sarah Munn says it can be a mental challenge, but sometimes, you just have to go with your gut.

The Sheridan girls take on Cheyenne East tomorrow at 11am.

The winner qualifies for the state tournament, and will play another game on Friday and Saturday for seeding purposes.

The loser is done for the season.

The Sheridan boys have a first round bye, and have already qualified for the state tournament.

The Broncs will play in the regional semi-finals on Friday at 1pm, against the winner of tomorrow’s game between Campbell County vs. Laramie.

Colorado Avalanche Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche have a chance to finish their 2nd round best of 7 series today at home vs. Minnesota.

The Avs currently lead the series 3 games to 1.

Buffalo won Game 4 at Montreal 3-2, to tie up that series at 2 wins each.

NBA Playoffs: San Antonio won Game 5 of their second round best of 7 series last night at home vs. Minnesota 126-97.
