Sheridan HS Football: The Sheridan High School Football team is one week away from kicking off the 2026 season.

The Broncs have been in 2-a-day practice mode since practice started last week, mostly working on the basics of the game.

Head Coach Jeff Mowry says as far as preparing for next week’s season opening game, that’s next week’s challenge.

Not every high school football team across the country gets to have a week or 2 of practice before school starts.

In some places, both start on the same day and Coach Mowry explains the mental advantage players get by having those practices first.

The Broncs start class this coming Tuesday, while Big Horn and Tongue River start on Monday.

Sheridan’s first game is one week from today at Rock Springs.

Kaycee HS Football: Players from Kaycee will get a chance to play the 6-man game after all.

The Buckaroos had to pull the plug on this season after not enough players came out for the team.

Those who did show up will wear the colors of their arch-rivals at Midwest, after the 2 teams reached a co-op agreement that was approved by the Wyoming High School Activities Association.

University of Wyoming Football: The Wyoming Cowboys are halfway through training camp as the team prepares for the upcoming season.

The question with any team is who is going to be the starting quarterback.

In contention for the spot is senior Tyler Hughes, who threw for more than 23-hundred yards last year at the College of William and Mary.

Junior Landon Sims is back after missing most of last year with an ACL injury.

There’s also redshirt freshman Mason Drube from Campbell County High School who’s looking to make his mark.

Head Coach Jay Sawvel says all 3 are good dual threat QB’s.

The season for the Pokes kicks off 2 weeks from tomorrow at Colorado State.

Denver Broncos Football: The Denver Broncos are at home today for a pre-season game vs. Green Bay.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm and you can hear the game LIVE on Fox Sports 106.3 FM.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies start a 3-game series today at home vs. Cleveland.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:40pm.

Tomorrow’s game starts at 6:10pm and Sunday’s game at 1:10pm.

After that, the Rocks hit the road for 4 games at Washington, followed by 3 games at Atlanta.
