Clearmont Day held on Saturday
Clearmont Day, was held on Saturday, June 27. The day started with a pancake breakfast in the Clearmont Fire Hall.

A new addition to Clearmont Day was the three-on-three basketball tournaments. Mike Latham, Clearmont native, was a score keeper for the basketball games.

For the first time in several years, Clearmont Day organized a parade, and Robert Prusak president of the Clearmont Historical Group commented on Clearmont Day.

One booth set up in the park was run by Alex Schneck and his brother, Marcus. Alex explained what the booth was about.
Another booth was a fundraiser for Natalie Stoll, who was injured earlier this month in a bad car accident near Ucross.

Amanda Schmidt, A/C School Agriculture teacher and Clear Creek FFA advisor, was at Clearmont Day, serving the lunch with the help of several of her FFA students.
She said this was her second Clearmont Day, as she had just moved into Clearmont last year. She talked about what she is doing to help out this year.
She added they had started with 250 hamburger patties, and when the line of people had full plates, there were only 10 patties left. Shortly after lunch, a thunderstorm with rain and ping-pong ball size hail blew in, putting a damper on many of the afternoon events of the day.

There were several other vendors in the park, and a bouncy house and other games for the youngsters. Ken Wacker provided live music throughout the afternoon.
