Yellowstone National Park’s July 2026 And YTD Numbers Down Compared To Last Year

Yellowstone National Park had another busy July in terms of recreational visitor numbers, but the park is still behind the record pace that was set in 2021.

The Park reports 958,706 visitors passed through one of the 5 entrances to the park last month.

That’s down 2% compared to July of last year (975,109) and down 11% from the busiest July ever in 2021 (1,080,767).

Year to date numbers as of the end of July stand at 2,635,384 which is down 1% compared to the same time last year (2,666,031), and is down 1% from 2021 (2,668,765).

Yellowstone NP’s annual record is 4,860,242 visits, which happened in 2021.

June, July and August are usually the busiest months in the park.
