SMH: Patient Financial Advocate’s Office is Reaching Out to Help You
Sheridan Memorial Hospital patient accounts manager Regan Palmer and her team are working to help community members better understand Medicare coverage and the financial resources available to patients.
Financial advocates assist people with insurance questions, financial assistance programs and navigating health care costs. They also help individuals understand Medicare Parts A and B, prescription coverage through Part D, Medigap policies and Medicare Advantage plans.

While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Palmer said this service is free to the community and those who wish to contact her office do not need to be patients of the hospital. Palmer said for no charge, residents can contact her office to learn and receive assistance applying for a wide-range of programs and insurance options, including but not limited to learning about the Marketplace.
