SCLT Invites Volunteers to Help Weatherproof Streetcar

Sheridan Community Land Trust invites volunteers to lend a hand with the ongoing restoration of Ol’ #115 during a Streetcar Volunteer Evening on Thursday, Aug. 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the SCLT Big Goose Natural Area, 14 Lane Ln.

Restoration of Wyoming’s last streetcar continues to move forward, and this volunteer evening will focus primarily on weatherproofing, including work on windows, sealing and caulking. Volunteers may also help with other restoration projects as needed.

No special experience is necessary. Volunteers can come when they are able and stay as long as they would like. Participants should wear sturdy shoes and clothes they do not mind getting dirty and bring work gloves if they have them. SCLT will provide tools, supplies, snacks and drinks.

The continued progress on Ol’ #115 is possible thanks to donors and volunteers who have contributed their time and resources to preserving this important piece of Sheridan County history.
