SCLT: Soldier Ridge Trail Volunteer Night
The Sheridan Community Land Trust is asking you to help build a better beginning for the Soldier Ridge Trail.
According to SCLT, work is underway on a reroute of the first portion of Soldier Ridge Trail and the land trust has issued a call to any residents who lend extra hands to help bring it across the finish line.
Join SCLT’s recreation crew for an evening of trail work that will include hand-finishing portions of the new trail and reclaiming the old trail alignment. No trail-building experience is necessary. SCLT will provide the tools and guidance.
According to SCLT this new route will create a more enjoyable and sustainable trail by opening new views and creating a better connection to future recreation opportunities at the SCLT Ridgetop Natural Area.
SCLT asks that volunteers come ready to work, get a little dirty and help build a trail the whole community can enjoy.
The Soldier Ridge Volunteer Trail Night will be 6 – 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18. Volunteers can meet at the Soldier Ridge Trailhead. SCLT will provide tools, snacks and beverages.
