Aaron PalmerBuffalo City Attorney Dennis Kirven, during this week’s city council meeting, brought a letter for Mayor Shane Schrader to sign, authorizing the construction of a building on city-owned land at the shooting complex on Stockyard Road.
The council earlier this year voted to approve Johnson County 4-H/Buffalo Trap & Skeet Club to to build an additional building for their shooting sports at the shooting range east of town.
According to information discussed at an earlier council meeting, the building is estimated to cost just over $220,000 and will be funded by money acquired by 4-H and the BTSC, with no cost to the city other than site prep by the city at about $24,000 and the waiving of building permits by the city at roughly $1,600.
