Senator Lummis Fights for Wyoming Gig Workers, Entrepreneurs with Senator Tim Scott

Published

on

U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) has joined U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) in introducing the Employee Rights Act of 2022. The bill would significantly update American labor laws for the first time in decades by modernizing outdated statutes to protect independent contractors, franchises, entrepreneurs, and anyone seeking flexible work options.

Lummis said Wyoming citizens have been trying to recover from the economic strains of the pandemic and it’s time to put the worker first, not the union – legislation like this will help reshape America’s workforce to prioritize people over politics and protect workers in the process. Included in the bill are provisions for the criminalization of union threats, gig worker benefits, political protection for union members, protection for local businesses under the Save the Local Business Act, and reforms to the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA).

An overwhelming majority says rising gas prices are a problem for their family.
Over half of voters think inflation is “not at all” under control and views on the economy remain decidedly negative.
Two-thirds have had to cut back on spending to make ends meet, as a growing number say they are falling behind financially.
More than twice as many think the Biden administration has made the economy worse rather than better.
Two-thirds disapprove of how Biden is handling inflation, including a sizable minority of Democrats.

Its clear that the GOP must save the economy, the american family and our nation.

How did Trump set Biden up for failure? Specifics please. Biden is failing well enough on his own, and destroying the US economy as he goes. Sadly it is intentional.

Mike if you like and trust Fox News so much then move to Russia there you can get all of the propaganda you could ever want. Until then I think you should diversify your news intact and then maybe you will realize how wrong you are.

Lummis wants to increase the number of H1B visas for foreigners to take American jobs. It appears she prefers politics over people.

In case you hadn’t noticed unemployment is at the lowest rate since 1969. One of the things that is causing inflation is the inability of companies to ramp up production because they can’t hire qualified workers. As much as it hurts to admit it- Lummis is right- and as usual your 1 trick pony is wrong again.

Who are these unqualified workers you talk about, and why are they unqualified? Unemployment is low because the US came out of unnecessary health mandates. Inflation is driven by Biden’s green agenda. America runs on fuel, ray. How do your goods get to the various stores? By magic? Take off your rose colored glasses and have a good look at your cognitive challenged puppet in the Whitehouse. Turn off the view, and embrace the new world order!

Begging the question does not mean requiring that someone ask the question, as most people seem to believe, it means throwing up a plate of word salad to avoid dealing with a question you don’t want to answer. Clearly you have no intelligent response to the issue that there is a shortage of skilled workers in many industries and so you default to word salad talking points. Take of the blind fold and actually look at the world.
