Sheridan County HS Basketball Players To Play For Wyoming All-Stars Vs. Montana: Three Sheridan County High School Basketball seniors will represent the Cowboy State in the annual clash against Montana.
Nate Miner of Sheridan will play for the Wyoming Boys All-Stars, while Camryn Wagner of Sheridan and Chaney Reish of Tongue River have been selected for the girls.
The games will be played on Friday, June 12th at Gillette College, and on Saturday, June 13th at Lockwood High School in Billings.
This year will mark the 50th year that the Wyoming and Montana boys will battle on the court.
Sheridan HS Softball: Sheridan swept a double-header yesterday at Cody, by scores of 13-2 and 5-1.
This weekend the northeast and southeast quadrant teams will gather in Gillette to play each other.
On Friday, the Lady Broncs will take on Cheyenne East and Torrington.
Cheyenne Central and Wheatland will provide the opposition on Saturday.
The makeup games at home vs. Campbell County will be played on Monday, May 11th.
Sheridan HS Boys and Girls Soccer: The Sheridan boys are preparing for a big rematch this coming Friday at home vs. Cheyenne Central.
Earlier this season, the Broncs scored in the final minute on the road to salvage a 1-1 draw.
Head Coach Wade Kinsey says despite the result, the team played a full 80 minutes.
On Saturday, the Broncs are at home to take on Cheyenne East.
As for the girls, they split home games this past weekend, losing against Laramie, and recovered to beat Cheyenne South.
Junior Savannah Child says the Lady Broncs just need to work on finding ways to gel a little bit better.
The Sheridan girls are on the road this weekend to play Cheyenne Central and Cheyenne East.
Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies lost the first game of a 3-game series yesterday at Cincinnati 7-2.
Edouard Julien hit a solo home run for the cause, but it was not nearly enough.
The Rocks and Reds are scheduled to play each other again today, starting at 4:40pm.
NBA Playoffs: San Antonio won last at home vs. Portland yesterday 114-95 to win the first round best of 7 series 4 games to one.
The Spurs advance to the second round and are waiting for the winner of the series between the Denver Nuggets and Minnesota.
In other NBA playoff action from yesterday, Philadelphia stayed alive by winning at Boston 113-97, but trail in the series 3-2.
New York won at home vs. Atlanta 126-97 to move ahead 3-2 in their series.
NHL Playoffs: Minnesota won Game 5 last night at Dallas 4-2, to take a 3-2 lead in their first round best of 7 series.
Game 6 is scheduled for tomorrow in Minneapolis.
The Colorado Avalanche are waiting for the winner.
If Dallas wins tomorrow, that would force Game 7 which is scheduled for Saturday at Dallas.
Other hockey scores from yesterday saw Edmonton stay alive by winning Game 5 at home vs. Anaheim 4-1, but trail in the series 3-2.
Boston stayed alive as well, thanks to a 2-1 overtime win at Buffalo, but the Sabres are still ahead 3 games to 2.
