A jury trial remains scheduled for mid June in Fourth Judicial District Court for a Sheridan woman charged with multiple drug offenses. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

It was determined at a pretrial conference Tuesday in District Court that the standard 50 prospective jurors will be summoned for the jury selection process for the three-day jury trial scheduled to begin June 15 for Brittany Popp.

At an arraignment hearing on February 10, Popp pleaded not guilty to two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance, for allegedly possessing Cocaine and Hydrocodone. Popp also pleaded not guilty to two misdemeanor charges, possession of a controlled substance – THC, and possession of a controlled substance – MDMA, more commonly known as Ecstasy.

According to court documents, On December 31, 2025, a special agent with the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation was contacted by a United States Postal Inspector about a suspicious package they had received that was being sent from Manteca, California to an address in Sheridan. A subsequent investigation led to Popp’s arrest. If convicted on all four counts, Popp faces up to 16 years in prison and fines of up to $32,000.
