James Russell Miller was born on November 21, 1995, in Buffalo to Robert and Shannon Miller. He grew up and went to school in Buffalo. He spent most of his working career at Purcella’s Meat Plant in Buffalo.
James was an avid gunman, spending his time making and redoing gun stocks and grips. He loved to hunt and fish but spent most of his spare time helping his dad with wood cutting. Landscaping became something James loved and took pride in, always on the hunt for something unique to add to his yard. James never turned down a request and always found fulfillment in helping others. He cherished his nieces and nephews with every piece of himself and loved being called “Uncle Jamie.” He recently took an interest in cooking and looked forward to trying new recipes and sharing them with his mom and sister. James and his mom loved to collect vintage cast iron pieces, walking through antique stores was a favorite pastime. James had a sense of humor that was larger than life. His sister always said he was born in the wrong time period, loving all things old and rusty and listening to music from a different generation. He is survived by his father Bobby Miller and his wife Carla of Buffalo; his mother Shannon Miller also of Buffalo; two brothers, Chase Wellington of Buffalo and Joe Kreilich of Lawton, Oklahoma; and two sisters, Brittany Scott and her husband James of Buffalo and Toni Guyor and her husband Adam of North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Russ and Marta Miller and one uncle John Miller.
