Karol Ann Hodges

Karol Ann Hodges, 85, died on June 20, 2026, in Sheridan, WY.

Karol was born in Newton, IA to George and Violet (Weaver) Williams. She grew up in Kellogg, IA, graduated from and lived in Newton before moving to Tucson, AZ. Karol and Larry settled in Sheridan, WY, in 1993 where she worked for her sister Dixie as a property manager for Carroll Realty.

Karol was a member of the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed baking, crocheting, quilting, crafts, sewing and jigsaw puzzles. There was always a project or two (or more) going on. She shared many of her projects with others–cinnamon rolls to businesses, cookies to the congregation, lap quilts to nursing homes, not to mention many afghans and other handmade gifts for family and friends.

Karol is survived by her children Mike (Mary) Bleakney, Deb Bleakney (Rod Snodgrass), Dan Bleakney–Formby, (Howard Formby), Lynn (Dennis) Dittmer, Curt (Missy) Hodges and Kendra (Eric) Simpson. A special niece Kathy Goodchild. Eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Larry in 2012. Siblings Larry Williams, Verlee Goodrich, Dixie See, Meri Terry and David Williams.
