Jerry Frausto
Jerry Frausto, 59, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026, at 4:56 a.m., surrounded by his loving wife, children, and grandchildren.
Jerry was born on April 3, 1967, in San Jose, California, to Juan Frausto Jr. and Perfectita Thelma Frausto. He was raised in San Martin, California, where he developed the strong work ethic and determination that would guide him throughout his life.
Throughout the years, Jerry lived in various communities throughout the San Bernardino area before making Buffalo, Wyoming, his home for the past two decades.
A true jack of all trades, Jerry spent his life working with his hands and took great pride in every job he did. Over the years he worked as a diesel mechanic, mechanic, carpenter, welder, roofer, concrete worker, and in irrigation. No matter the trade, Jerry was known for his willingness to work hard, solve problems, and help others whenever he could. If something needed fixed, built, or figured out, Jerry was often the one people called.
Above all else, Jerry’s greatest pride and joy was his family. He shared a life of love and devotion with his beloved wife, Yolanda Frausto, and together they raised six children. Jerry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose love for his family knew no boundaries.
No matter where his children lived, Jerry made it a priority to stay connected and involved in their lives. Whether they were across town or across the country, he never hesitated to travel to spend time with his children and grandchildren. Some of his most treasured memories were made gathered around family, sharing stories, laughter, and simply enjoying each other’s company.
Jerry loved music and always appreciated having it playing in the background while spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, a good conversation, time with the people he loved, and a cold Budweiser in hand. He never needed much to be happy, just family nearby and the opportunity to enjoy their company.
Jerry is survived by his beloved wife, Yolanda Frausto; his children, Nicole Ramirez, Jerry “JJ” Frausto Jr. and wife Ashley Frausto, Jessie Frausto and wife L’Oreal Hamlin, Monica Schoonover and husband Jake Schoonover, Johnny Frausto and wife Nicki Frausto, and Krystal Frausto.
He was a proud grandfather to 22 grandchildren: Serenity, Baylee, Jalen, Johnny Jr., Ezmyrelda, Josiah, Kheris, Jeremiah, Olivia, Delilah, Kenai, Anthony, Jacob, Brandt, Mattix, Joseph, Madisyn, Jessie, Yasmine, Lyla, Jameson, and Jonah.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan Frausto Jr. and Perfectita Thelma Frausto, his brothers, his beloved granddaughter, Delilah, and many lifelong friends whose friendships he cherished throughout the years.
Jerry will be remembered for his strength, resilience, work ethic, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family. More than anything, he will be remembered as a man who showed up for his wife, his children, his grandchildren, and those he cared about most.
Though he will be deeply missed, his love, lessons, stories, and memories will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His legacy of family, hard work, loyalty, and love will never be forgotten.
Visitation and viewing services will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Harness Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Harness Funeral Home, followed by a graveside burial. A potluck reception will follow the burial, where family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate Jerry’s life.
