Donald Richard Caster

Donald Richard Caster passed away on May 15, 2026, in Buffalo, Wyoming. He was 67 years old.

Don was born in 1958 at the Navy Hospital in Newport, Rhode Island, to Wendell and Maxine Joy Caster. He was raised in Casper, Wyoming, where he attended school and graduated from Natrona County High School with the Class of 1977.

Following high school, Don proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps for four years. He later continued his military service with the Army National Guard and participated in the Desert Storm campaign cleanup efforts. Service to his country was something he carried with quiet pride throughout his life.

In 1978, Don married his high school sweetheart, Tammy Williams. Together they built a life and raised three sons.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wendell Caster, in 2015.

Don is survived by his mother, Maxine Caster of Sheridan, Wyoming; his brothers, Jeff Caster and wife Janet of Douglas, Wyoming, and Andy Caster of Sheridan; his sons, Theodore Caster of Sheridan, Adam Caster of Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Jeremy William Caster of Sheridan; as well as nine grandchildren and many extended family members and friends who will miss him greatly.

A celebration of Don’s life will be held on June 6, 2026, at his mother’s home in Sheridan, Wyoming, with family and friends gathering to honor and remember him. Memorial donations in Donald’s name may be made to Wounded Warrior Project at P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
