Carol Margaret Haberlack
Carol (Walker) Haberlack, resident of Sheridan, Wyoming formerly of Atascadero, California and Minot North Dakota, passed away on May 28, 2026, at the age of 86 years. Born to Ann and Clarence Walker on September 14, 1939, and raised in Minot, North Dakota.
Carol graduated from Minot Model where she excelled in band and softball. She attended Minot State Teachers College. She worked for Great Northern Railway as a switchboard operator. She met and fell in love with the love of her life Jerry Haberlack, on July 1, 1961, they were married at Little Flower Catholic Church. They started a life full of dreams and love. They welcome three children into their lives. In the late sixties they moved to California and built a loving home and future in Atascadero, California.
Carol’s love showed in her career path as a school bus driver. She touched so many lives, from kindergarten to high school. She was a second mom to a lot of kids, and she loved them dearly. Upon retiring from driving school bus, she did various part-time jobs allowing her to spend time with her most cherished love, her family. She never missed anything that had to do with her children, grandsons or great-grandchildren.
Carol enjoyed sewing, reading, quilting, cooking, camping, but her favorite fondest memories were salmon fishing with her beloved Jerry. She loved being social, belonging to the Red Hat Ladies, Bunko, guiding PSEA trips, volunteering at the Elks and Twin Cities Hospital.
Carol is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Haberlack and son Clarence Micheal Haberlack. Her parents Clarence and Ann Walker, her brothers and sisters (Kenneth, Ruth, Louise, Art, Dick, Jim, Chuck, Virginia and Clinton). Carol is survived by her daughter Bertha Goodwin(Faron), daughter Beth Lins(Kurk), grandsons Benjiman Goodwin (Kate), Harris Goodwin (Melinda), great-grandchildren Addison, Taegan, Walker, Beckham and Toryn Goodwin, her sister in laws, nephews and nieces, extended family and friends.
A mass and reception will be held at Holy Name Catholic Church on July 18th at 10. A Celebration of Life will be held in California at a later date. Online condolences may be made to www.sheridanfuneral.com. Arrangements are under the care of Sheridan Funeral Home.
