Mildred French
Mildred “Millie” (Mock) French, 98, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, in Sheridan, WY at her home.
Mildred was born on July 5, 1927, in Birney, Montana to parents Benjamin F. and Elvira (Vine) Mock. She attended school in Lodge Grass, MT. She went to a records keeping/transcribing school in Billings, MT, and carried that profession for over 30 years in Sheridan, WY.
She married Arthur French and had six children; James “Jim” French, Evelyn Jean “Jeannie” Bruncholtz, Jeffrey French, Timothy “Tim” French, John French, and Stephen “Steve” French.
Millie is survived by her son John French; sister; Rose Smith, grandchildren; Anthony “Tony”, Jimmy, Sherrie, Brenda, Tina, Dorey, Stevie, Mineo “Tiger”, Ted, Thia and Timmy. Also, many great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, children; Jeff, Jean, Jim, Tim Steve, brother Miles Mock, grandson; Troy Houston, great-grandson Anthony Jay “Tjay” French.
She enjoyed raising chickens, growing flowers, and loved her animals.
A family gathering is July 4th and 5th at the BNB at Lake Desmit. The graveside service is at 1:00 PM, Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to www.sheridanfuneral.com. Arrangements are under the care of Sheridan Funeral Home.
