Michael Christopher Forni
It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Michael Christopher Forni, who left this world at his residence in Sheridan, Wyoming, on June 12, 2026; he was 27 years old.
Michael spent much of his life in Sheridan and was a proud 2016 Class 29 graduate of the Wyoming Cowboy Challenge Academy.
Michael’s life was filled with warmth, curiosity, and an unforgettable sense of adventure. To know Michael was to be touched by a bright smile, an open heart, and an imagination that never ceased to surprise and delight those around him. Michael brought joy, laughter, and love to his family and those who he considered his friends, making each day a little better, and sometimes very exciting.
Michael found peace and happiness in nature. Whether fishing, searching for unique rocks, or mining, the outdoors was his sanctuary. Michael had a remarkable way of connecting with living creatures; friends and family often recall stories of Michael catching a turkey, pheasant, or even a pelican, giving it a moment of affection before letting it go free. Insects, spiders, snakes, and reptiles were all fascinating companions in Michael’s eyes, never feared, always respected. Michael is survived by a loving and deeply connected family who will forever cherish the memories created together: Parents Clay Forni and Michelle Forni; Sisters Alisha R. Forni, Crystal Elizabeth Marie Pino, and Kimberly A. Bougie; Brother Patrick Kraemer; Nephews Niko Preston Felix Pino and Calum James-William Bougie; Niece Luna Blu Marie Pino; Step-Father Charles Lafe Munyon; Significant Other Amber Walker and children Morgan Walker, Richard (Ricky) Walker, and Millie Walker.
Michael is also survived by grandparents Rotha Peet, Betty L. Hart, Kenneth Hart, and Greg Peet, along with numerous aunts, great-aunts, uncles, great-uncles, and cousins.
Though Michael’s presence will be deeply missed, the love, humor, and countless cherished memories shared will remain alive in the hearts of all who knew and loved this extraordinary individual. The family asks that those who were touched by Michael’s life remember Michael by sharing kindness freely and carrying forward the love that Michael so effortlessly gave.
Michael will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Bighorn Mountains Eagles on 1760 Commercial Drive, where a taco bar will be served.
All those who have been touched by the extraordinary person that Michael was are most welcome.
