News from District Court
A change of plea hearing was recently held in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan for 31-year-old Spencer Tetschner, who on May 30 of this year, was arrested and charged with felony delivery of a controlled substance- marijuana. Pursuant to terms of a plea agreement reached with the State, Tetschner pleaded guilty to the delivery charge.
The plea deal recommends a sentence of 2 to 4 years in prison, suspended in lieu of three years of supervised probation. District Court Judge John Fenn ordered that a presentence investigation be completed and scheduled the sentencing for January 13 at 9 am. Tetschner’s bond was continued under the same terms and conditions that were previously set in Circuit Court with the added condition that he report to Probation and Parole to advise them he’s pleaded guilty and to begin the presentence investigation process.
Also from District Court, 47-year-old Angel Albert pleaded no contest to an amended charge of misdemeanor abandoning or endangering children. Albert was initially charged with felony child abuse for an incident that occurred on March 12 at a residence in Sheridan County. Fenn accepted the terms of the plea agreement with the State and sentenced Albert to 365 days in jail, suspended in lieu of one-year of supervised probation. Albert was ordered to pay a total of $200 in various court costs and fees.

Cannabis prohibition has been a crime against humanity. Any involved in this prosecution should be ashamed of themselves.
