County Fire Warden Discusses Busy Fire Season

The hot dry summer coupled with the most recent unseasonably warm winter has created a busy fire season in Sheridan County. During a recent appearance on Public Pulse, Sheridan County Fire Warden Chris Thomas talked about the hot dry conditions in the region.

Thomas also said that they are in the process of revising the Sheridan County Community Wildfire Protection Plan to address wildfire risks across the entire county, including communities, fire districts, unincorporated areas and critical infrastructure. You can view the draft plan here.
