Business Relief Grant Applications Open Monday
At 10 am this upcoming Monday, the Wyoming Business Council will open applications for the Wyoming Business Interruption Stipend, which is a program that offers grants of up to $50,000 to independent Wyoming businesses who, as of March 31 of this year, employed 50 or fewer full-time employees. Wyoming Business Council CEO Josh Dorrell said the Business Interruption Stipend program is one of three programs that were created by the Legislature during last month’s special session to distribute $325 million of Wyoming’s $1.25 billion allocation from the CARES Act to Wyoming small-business owners who have experienced hardship related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dorrell said the program is intended to give special priority to businesses that were closed due to state health orders and did not receive Paycheck Protection Program funding from the Small Business Administration. He said that businesses who have received federal funding are still eligible to apply.
Dorrell said that since all three of the business relief programs are grants, they do not have to be repaid.
Once again, businesses can apply online for the Wyoming Business Interruption Stipend program beginning Monday, June 8 at 10 am. More information on the relief programs and how to apply can be found here: https://wyomingbusiness.org/wyobizrelief
