Karla Kaley is pleased to announce her Candidacy for Sheridan County Commissioner.
Karla Kaley is running for County Commissioner because she is completely fed up with the most recent, unnecessarily high, increases in property taxes. At the current rate, she fears any number of tax payers could be forced out of their homes at a time when they can least afford it.
Karla wants lower property taxes for all property owners in Sheridan County.

She believes sweeping tax reform is needed in general; and more specifically, that better assessment methods for All Types of properties should be developed. Karla believes tax reform is possible without compromising essential county services which is the primary reason local government exists. Optimized police, fire, and first responder services along with snow removal, road maintenance and public safety are the cornerstones for healthy vibrant communities.

Karla has voiced serious concerns about inadequate funding for Rural Fire Suppression. She
understands the County Wide First Responder Communications Network is inadequate and has gaps in coverage. Citizens are smart capable people. She knows they are successful in their own right, and their input is essential for addressing community challenges. Karla believes Sheridan County is headed in the wrong direction and that a change in Leadership is in order.
