America’s 250th Community Picnic
America’s 250th Community Picnic is scheduled to take place from 10 am to 7 pm on Independence Day in Kendrick Park and at the Trail End Historic Site in Sheridan. Along with the Kendrick Pool being open, there will be volleyball and cornhole tournaments, games, a bouncy house, food, community art projects and yard games at Trail End. Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce CEO Teresa Detimore.
Also Saturday, the 153rd Airlift Wing, Wyoming Air National Guard, will conduct a statewide flyover as part of America 250, the nationwide commemoration of the United States’ 250th anniversary of independence. The mission, dubbed “Flying the Brand Across Wyoming,” will send Guard aircraft along two simultaneous routes — the Jackson Route and the Devils Tower Route — reaching more than a dozen communities from the eastern plains to the mountains of western Wyoming. The flyover in Sheridan is scheduled for approximately 11:10 am.
