Three Buffalo Businesses Fail Alcohol Compliance Checks

During the Buffalo City Council meeting this week, Buffalo Police Chief Jason Carder reported that the department had performed alcohol compliance checks and an unusually high number of businesses failed the checks.
According to the report by Police Sergeants Seth Marbry and Casey Farris, the three businesses that failed the checks and sold to an underage buyer were Un’WINE’ed, the Maverik, and Winchester Steak House.
When a retailer fails to check identification and sells to the minor during the compliance check, the retailer is issued a citation and is required to attend Training for Intervention ProcedureS, or TIPS training.
The list of businesses visited during the most recent compliance checks were Un’WINE’ed, the Maverik, and Winchester’s Steak House which failed; and Wahoo Likkers, Outback Lounge, The Lounge, Crazy Woman Liquors, Bozeman Trail Steak House, China Gardens, the Occidental, Good 2 Go, Cowboy Saloon, Hampton Inn, Moose Lodge, and the Century Club that all passed the compliance checks.
