SCSD#3 Board Swears in New Members

At the Wednesday, June 10, SCSD#3 Board of Trustees meeting, acting superintendent and chairman pro-tem Greg Rohrer issued the oath of office to two new board members Kris Malli and Ashley Bassett.

Malli and Bassett replace Kelly Little and Deb Guyer, who resigned last month.

After the swearing in, there was election of board officers, with Malli being approved as Chairman, Sam Olson as vice-chair; Ernie Miller as treasurer and Gina Hackett as Clerk.

In other business the board approve to a contract with Clear Creek Connections for professional development, and approved to draft a letter to the Sheridan County Clerk communicating the need to place

all five SCSD#3 school board positions on the ballot for the 2026 general election and approved to hire Morgan Kremers as Activities Director.

Kremers will replace Jennifer Betz, who resigned in May.

The board also voted to approve the 2026-27 school calendar, and Trustee Gina Hackett added,

SCSD#3 will hold three board meetings in July; one on 14th at 7 p.m. and a budget hearing at 7 p.m. on July 15, followed by the second meeting at 7:10 p.m.
