Governor Mark Gordon signed an executive order Wednesday establishing the Wyoming Data Center Development Framework to guide responsible development in Wyoming. The Executive Order, “Data Centers the Wyoming Way,”  outlines a set of principles to ensure Wyoming remains competitive in attracting investment while protecting ratepayers, natural resources, local communities, and Wyoming’s way of life. The framework emphasizes water sustainability, wildlife conservation, workforce development, transparency, grid resiliency and stewardship, community engagement, and national security.

The Executive Order directs executive branch agencies to coordinate efforts related to data center projects and identify opportunities to improve regulatory efficiency, transparency, workforce readiness, and interagency cooperation. According to information from the Governor’s Office, the framework reinforces Wyoming’s commitment to ensuring that new data centers  bear the costs associated with their power demands, while encouraging projects that provide long-term benefits to Wyoming communities, workers, schools, and local governments.

Citizens of Wyoming want to know the details of said Data Centers prior to local Government giving these companies the “Go Ahead” for development. Where, when, how will data centers truly influence long term employment, noise pollution, real estate values, wildlife impact…

OMG this makes my heart drop. We Wyomingnites Do Not want any Data Centers. Does anyone question Why TF do we need them and why the massive push all the sudden.Do you not think the surveillance state of our citizens hasn’t already started and they are holding that in the data centers. For AI analyze everything, put it in an AI to analyze human behaviors to better control us. To scan our body biometrics then Al can classify if we are a risk to society or whatever it wants. To study us to know us to then track us. So please we have to fight for our rights. If that doesn’t scare you maybe the damage it will do to out planet fast. Heat rises up to 20 degrees around data centers not to mention the demises of literally natural resources for the humans who live around the area. All the animals that are displaced when building miles of potentially harmful technology. Does the data waves cause cancer? Please save us for 1984
