Sheridan County Entities Join Forces for the Nation’s 250 Birthday Celebration
To create a celebration worthy of the Nation’s 250th Anniversary, Shawn Parker of Sheridan County Travel and Tourism knows many hands make light work. Travel and Tourism has teamed up with the Downtown Sheridan Association and the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce to host the America’s 250th Community Picnic at 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, July 4 at Kendrick Park.
While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Downtown Sheridan Association Executive Director Zoila Perry and Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce CEO Teresa Detimore said events will be held throughout the county.

Old Fashioned Yard games will be taking place at the Trail End State Historic Site, a 4th of July parade will be held in Big Horn, hosted by the Last Chance Bar and beginning at 10 a.m., America’s 250th Community Picnic will celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary with activities for all ages.
Activities will include a SAGE Community Arts art station, a bounce house, face painting, as well as volleyball and cornhole tournaments.
Food vendors will be available and hamburgers and hot dogs will be offered. With the America’s 250th Community Picnic taking place at Kendrick Park, Perry reminded residents that the pool will open as well, adding to the fun of the day.

After the games, the Town of Ranchester will host the 4th of July celebration annual fireworks show.
Organizers created the event to bring residents and visitors together for a day of community celebration and family fun.
