Boot Kick Off July 7

The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce will host the Sheridan WYO Rodeo Boot Kick Off on July 7 at Whitney Commons Park to celebrate the start of Rodeo Week. 

Registration to compete begins at 4:30 p.m., with children’s stick horse races starting at 5 p.m., followed by the boot kicking competition for teens and adults. The family-friendly event invites community members and visitors to participate in a long-standing Sheridan tradition while competing for more than $1,300 in Chamber Bucks prizes. 

Hosted by the Sheridan County Chamber Ambassadors, this tradition marks the beginning of WYO Rodeo Week events in Sheridan. 

While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Officer Teresa Detimore said this event is open and welcomes everyone in classic cowboy style.
