Sheridan Commission Accepts Homeland Security Grant

A grant award agreement between Sheridan County and the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security was considered by the county commission at a recent regular meeting.

County Emergency Management Coordinator Jesse Ludikhuize explained what the agreement covers.

According to the agreement, the grant is intended “to assist state, local, territorial governments in preparing for all hazards…to obtain the resources required to support the implementation of the National Preparedness System and the National Preparedness Goal of a secure and resilient Nation.”

The commission voted to approve and accept the grant award agreement in the amount of $49,200.
