The new Dayton Fire and Rescue Command 107, a 2026 Ford F350 Lariat with a V10 engine, was officially inducted into service with a pushing in ceremony at the fire station Wednesday.

Craig Reeser, battalion fire chief, explained to city council members the tradition of a pushing in ceremony which dates back to the 1800s.

ABC Graphics did the wrap on the truck.
The truck will provide equipment for EMS, rope rescues and mass casualty incidents. An extrication tool will be added soon.
The bedside slide can hold five SCBA air cylinders.
The back of the bed slide contains air bags that can lift tons like a semi-truck cab, Reeser said.
Two spotlights on the front are operated from inside the cab with the push of a button.
