During their meeting Tuesday, the Johnson County Commission considered putting a ballot measure in the November General Election for a 1% Special Purpose Sales and Use Tax to pay for projects from Kaycee, Buffalo, and Johnson County.

Three separate propositions will be placed on the ballot for voters to decide which they support. They can approve one, two, three, or none of the propositions.

Commission Chairman Bill Novotny specified the three propositions.

The three propositions will be placed on the November General Election Ballot for approval and the amount approved will determine when the 1% tax will sunset, or end after the amount for the project or projects is raised.

The commission voted to approve placing the propositions on the ballot.
